Only a maximum of 5 people on a course.  Got some bat survey experience and need a second reference for your survey licence?

Join us for the day revising and being assessed for your Level 1 bat licence. Level 2 may also be possible. The day will include internal and external surveys of buildings as well as a verbal assessment of your bat knowledge including health and safety, bat ecology, legislation, bat identification and much more. You must have at least 100 hours survey experience. Maximum of 5 people on a course. Courses are every 6 weeks in the period April to October.

Natural England have confirmed that the satisfactory completion of this course, and the Certificate issued, can act as a second signatory for a Level 1 and Level 2 bat licence. However, they sometimes ask for more information.

You will need to provide your bat experience log before you come on the course.

What to bring:

You will need to bring a packed lunch, outdoor clothes, torch, hard hat, pens and pencils, clipboard, plain paper.

Timings:

The course will commence at 10am and finish at around 4pm.

In order to get your second signatory your tutor must be satisfied that you are knowledgeable and competent. Further assessment may be needed – usually via a phone call or online meeting.
