Acorn Ecology courses, Certificate course

Not long to go!

Certificate Core Week starts on Monday! We are really looking forward to welcoming this year’s intake of students. We’ve got some fantastic new sites to go to this year which are really special.

Why do we call it “Core Week”? Read our blog from last year which explains this: https://ecologytraining.co.uk/2018/04/03/one-week-to-go/

What will they learn this week?

They will learn about Phase 1 surveys and Preliminary Ecological Appraisals. Read our useful blogs on Phase 1 and report writing:

Feeling inspired?

Take advice from Sally, who speaks to students every day about courses, to help you decide which course is right for you. From grass ID to reptile surveying there’s a lot of choice!

We have a couple of past certificate students on our team, in Bristol and the London & South East Branch. You can read Hannah’s story here:

Don’t forget that our placement students write blogs. There’s a whole array of different ones on our blog page, so you can see how different everyone’s experience is. Ecological Consultancy is very varied from day to day!

Advanced Training and Bat Licences

If you have already started your career in Ecology and you’re looking for the next step, have you seen our bat licence training course? This course is designed to help you get your bat licence. You can read about it here. We also have a page of frequently asked questions. If you’d like to know what we are going to do in the first part of the course, read our blog about the site visits here:

We run advanced training courses throughout the year, usually out of the survey season. You can find details of upcoming courses on our website here: https://ecologytraining.co.uk/book-a-course/advanced/

Here at Acorn Ecology we care about helping people new to consultancy get the right skills they need to succeed. Ecological Consultancy is a fantastic career where you will learn something new every day throughout your career and you never know what the next site will bring!

For more information, or if you have any questions please see our website, or email training@acornecology.co.uk with any specific questions. We look forward to seeing you on a training course soon.
