Introduction to Bat Sound Analysis Using Analook – Exeter 1st August

Pipstrelle bat sound analysisAnalook is free software that is used to analyse bat calls. This course will teach you how to use the programme and how to distinguish between bat species. You will have a tutorial in the morning before moving on to a workshop, so you can have plenty of practice at using the software and putting your new knowledge into practice.

Bat Survey Data: Analysis and Presentation – Exeter 2nd Augustbat course, ecology training, ecology courses

This is for those who have completed the Bat Sound Analysis course, or who already have some experience using Analook. This course aims to take you a step further. You know how to analyse the calls, but then what do you do with them? Learn how to turn your bat calls into tables, graphs and maps that show you exactly how to present your data in a clear and professional way.

Bat Ecology and Surveying – Exeter 3rd and 4th September

We’ve added another date to our ever popular bat course. This two-day course will give you an introduction to the ecology of our British bat species. Learn how to conduct professional surveys with an evening field trip and get to grips with using detectors. Have a go at identifying bats using real specimens. This course covers information recommended in the BCT Training Standards and covers best practice guidelines.

It’s what every ecologist needs to know about bats!
